Dakota

This is Dakota, one of the sweetest dogs I have ever came accross. He is the owner of 2 of our very close friends, and have been friends for a long time. Dakota is probably on his last stretch of life. He is 14 years old and is now having a very hard time getting up, walking, or just moving. He is starting to stare at the walls, and that breaks my heart! I just felt like telling someone about Dakota, because he is such a kind hearted animal, that loved everyone and everything! I will miss him so much, as will our whole circle of friends and family!
What a beautiful dog who never showed his age until now.

Mailman alert!

Everyday when the mailman is coming down the street, Stella can hear him. Here she is waiting.
Wonder what is going through her mind right now?

Friday night wedding

This is the dress I chose to wear. It is black and cream and kind of retro, but I loved it.

The shoes couldn't have matched this dress any better. They are black with black and cream flowers.

Here we are outside of the church with sweet Aunt Lisa.

Aunt Lisa enjoying her whiskey sour, with my equally sweet sister-in-law, Diane

Cousin Connie on left, sister in-law Sue in back, my mother in-law in the blue, Aunt Lisa, and me.

This is Meredith, my cousins daughter, and her new hubby, Andrew. She looks very happy!
The wedding reception was at The Washington Crossing Inn, in Washington Crossing, Pennsylvania. It is very historical. It is where the colonists rested before the ferry trip across the Delaware River. George Washington reputedly dined here before leading his troops on the famous Christmas night crossing of 1776.

Purse Tag for Preppy

This is my new Banana Republic foldover clutch I bought for my trip to Florida this year.

I love the color.

This is my everyday purse I'm using right now.

Checkbook, handwipes, Burberry Parfum, keys, lip gloss, pen, gum, readers, small mirror, hand lotion, Micky Mouse coin purse, wallet for credit cards, bank stub, Stella's Vera Bradley leash, pill box. I have to admit that I did throw out a lot of reciepts, and gum wrappers!

This is my little pill box that Amy gave me for Christmas. Isn't it so cute! It says, "has anyone seen my hormones?"

Pretty uneventful, don't ya think??

Aunt Lisa

This is Aunt Lisa on the left who is visiting from Germany. She flew in for the wedding tonight, one of the cousins is getting married. She is almost 90 years young and is more active than I am sometimes. In Germany, she walks EVERYWHERE, in heels to boot. She has never driven in her life. I guess that is a big plus--staying active!
Her favorite meal of all time is a Thanksgiving dinner. They do not have Thanksgiving in Germany, so every time she comes, I give her the whole nine yards. Turkey, gravy, stuffing, corn casserole, mashed potatoes, peas, cranberry sauce......all the way to apple pie! So this Sunday, that is what's for dinner, Thanksgiving!!!!

Stella Bean

Here is a picture of Stella wearing her pink suede and lambskin winter jacket. As you can see, it is not her favorite piece of clothing!

She does look cute though, and is ready for the snow!
(Even though it quickly warming up!)

Better late than never

Father, daughter after dinner kiss.
My brother in-law Bill (the chef.)

Yummy sushi!

Beautiful sunset on the Eastern shore!!

I have had a busy week this week so far, and I feel like it is not going to let up. My Aunt is visiting from Germany, work, housework backed-up, trying to get Stella to go in the snow, funeral of a friend on Thursday, cousin's wedding Friday night--what I'm going to wear, I haven't a clue!! Any suggestions?

I'm trying to keep this blog interesting for my friends, but I feel like I am so busy lately. I just figure if I keep you up to date on family goings on, it will appease you for now. I promise it will get better! But for now, here are some pics from my past weekend in Maryland. We had a nice time, went out and got Sushi on Saturday night and it was delicious. My sister Patti and her husband Bill (who kind of looks like the Boss!), are from New Jersey. He is a chef and they moved to Maryland last year and opened up a little cafe called Galena's Kitchen, came with us to dinner.

I promise Preppy, I will get my assignment done a.s.a.p!!

XOXO

I don't know what I did to this post, but it is messed up!
