Happy Friday!




Pomegranate Martini

2 oz Citrus Vodka
1/2 oz fresh Lemon Juice or Lime
1/4 oz fresh Pomegranate Juice
1 oz Simple Syrup or Triple Sec


Shake all ingredients well with ice and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with orange peel, or lime (I like Lime) and serve.



I want to say if you have never tried a Pomegranate martini, I suggest you do so a.s.a.p. They are not only refreshing and delicious, but somewhat healthy. (O.K., the Pomegranate has antioxidants in it.) This was my favorite drink last summer, and I'm ready for one now. I would quadruple the recipe, and pour it in a quart size bottle, and keep it in the freezer. (Alcohol doesn't freeze.) That way your ready to go!
I think this would be a PERFECT drink for Ina and the girls, on the deck, during these pre-wedding days!

    I agree with my sis, though I'm reading your blog at 1:30 in the afternoon in Germany so techincally I could have one! I've been drinking Pomegranite Green tea so good, add a splash of vodka and hello happy friday! Thanks for the idea. Have a great weekend.

    So funny you should bring it up, Ronda, because on Thursday after we took the wedding gown for the fitting, Amy, Ron & I went out for dinner and she had a lemon drop martini!! I will try this recipe and put in the freezer!! Sounds yummy!! Thanks xoxo
