Another Day on the Dock

Just a quick hello, and a little update from the weekend. Saturday was another beautiful day at the bay. I decided to go down and check out what was going on, and snap some pictures.

When I got there, I found Amy reading every one's horoscope.

These are a few local boys Amy has become friends with. Very, very nice.

Katy, my niece. She is going back to Kansas City tomorrow. She will be back, I think she wants to move to Philadelphia.

Thirsty Thursday!

Classic Margaritas
On the rocks, straight up, salt, no salt. All good questions to ask. Straight up is served without ice and in a martini glass. On the rocks, means over ice and can be served in a wine glass or old fashioned glass. To make it salt rimmed, simply rub a lime wedge around the top of glass and dip it into a dish of coarse salt.
Makes two 3-ounce drinks

cocktail shaker filled with ice
2 ounces fresh lime juice
1 ½ ounces triple sec
2 ounces tequila
2 lime wedges, to garnish

Doesn't this look so refreshing? I think this is on the menu this weekend!

Weekend Update

Here is Amy and Sarah, a friend from Maryland enjoying a refreshing cocktail on the dock.

We had a wonderful long Memorial Day weekend. The weather held out beautifully. Lots of family, friends and great food! It was so nice and relaxing to have my whole family together for 5 straight days under the same roof. There was never a dull moment.

On Sunday our neighbors Mike & Amber with a friend, came for a boat ride with us to visit my brother-in-law's house. He lives about 10 minutes down the river.

Saturday Tea Party

Memorial Day Weekend!

I have to keep this short because I am at work. I just wanted to tell everyone to have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. I'm off to Maryland after work today (early dismissal today at 1:00, YEAH!)

I will update on all of the festivities this weekend, which we have a full schedule.

A Walk in the Park

Today my son John, Stella and myself went to Fairmount Park in Philadelphia. We took a nice 2 1/2 hour walk and snapped some great pictures. It was a little cool today, around 60 degrees, but the air felt great! Fairmount Park is 4180 acres, the largest landscaped park in the United States. We went to the Valley Green section of the park, which is near Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia.

P.S. I forgot to tell you that while we were on our walk, someone broke into my car and stole my credit cards out of my wallet! Thank God, I went to get an ice cream cone and noticed. I called and got them cancelled. What a pain in the butt!
